(sold) Hagi-yaki yunomi meteo signed set with tomobako box Shōwa period
Notice: This set has found a new home. If you are looking for something similar, scroll down.
Item details
Two Hagi-yaki yunomi from the Shōwa period, one larger and one smaller, thrown and glazed in the soft feldspathic style that defines Hagi ware. The glaze pools unevenly in the recesses and leaves the foot rim raw, showing the warm orange of the local clay underneath. Both bowls will deepen in colour with use as the glaze slowly absorbs tea over time. The original signed tomobako is included, with the maker's name and hanko in the lid.
